Iran discusses Strait of Hormuz with French and South Korean ministers

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi held talks with French and South Korean officials on regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts linked to tensions in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran said Araghchi and his French counterpart discussed “bilateral issues, the latest regional developments, and current diplomatic trends”.

During a separate call with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, Araghchi said: “Insecurity imposed on the region and its global consequences are the result of the aggressive actions of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran”.

Cho stressed the importance of “establishing maritime security and safety in the region and the world” and said he hoped “the diplomatic process would reach a conclusion as soon as possible”.
