Femmco FC delivered a ruthless attacking display throughout the encounter, with Akanji’s younger brother, Akanji Jibola, emerging as one of the standout performers. The talented youngster scored twice and also provided four assists in a commanding individual performance.

Olokode Micheal also stole the spotlight after netting a hat-trick while contributing two assists in an entertaining attacking masterclass from the home side. Additional goals came from Basit Yekeen, Abdulah Akinwunmi, and Adu Segun, who each added one goal to complete the emphatic victory.

Ajax FC’s only response came through Olawoyin Elijah, but the visitors struggled to contain the attacking intensity and movement of the Femmco side throughout the game.

Speaking with Sports247Naija after the match, Femmco FC head coach Oladehinde Adebayo expressed pride in Akanji Seun’s progress and praised the motivation his national team call-up has brought to the squad.

“This is for our own Akanji Seun. The team is proud of his performances as a champion of the 2025/2026 NNL season with Sporting Lagos. The squad are well motivated with the recent call-up,” the coach stated.

He also highlighted the performance of Akanji Jibola, suggesting football excellence runs within the family.

“I am not surprised to see his younger brother’s quality. It’s in the blood and surely he will also excel,” he added.

Despite the massive victory, Coach Adebayo insisted there is still room for improvement within the team.

“We will continue to improve more despite the huge victory. There is a lot to be worked on.”

The club also wished Akanji Seun a successful and injury-free engagement with the Flying Eagles as he prepares for national team duties.
