College basketball champion stuns NBA by withdrawing from draft just weeks before 2026 event

Highly-rated college basketball prospect Elliot Cadeau has made the bold decision to withdraw himself from this year’s NBA Draft.

Instead, Cadeau will return to Michigan for his senior season after winning the national championship with the Wolverines last month.

Michigan coach Dusty May revealed Cadeau, the Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four, actually agreed a deal to return in Aparil.

However, he still entered the draft process to gain experience ahead of his expected step up to the NBA next year.
