Chelsea take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon with interim head coach Calum McFarlane missing at least four players at Wembley Stadium
Chelsea are set to welcome back three key players for Saturday afternoon’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Calum McFarlane confirmed in his Thursday press conference that Robert Sanchez, Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho are all set to be involved for the trip to Wembley Stadium this weekend. The trio missed the recent draw with Liverpool due to injuries but are in contention to return on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Reece James and Levi Colwill came through the draw at Anfield unscathed. James, Chelsea’s captain, made his first appearance in almost two months last Saturday, coming on in the second half on Merseyside, while Colwill made his first start in almost a year, and managed to complete the full 90 minutes.

However, Chelsea are missing four players for the FA Cup final. Jamie Gittens remains on the sidelines with a hamstring injury and it is unclear whether the Blues winger will feature again this season.
It has been a disappointing debut campaign at Stamford Bridge for Gittens, who signed from Borussia Dortmund last summer. The 21-year-old failed to consistently impress during the first half of the season and since Christmas, he has barely featured due to a hamstring problem. Gittens’ last appearance was on January 31.
Elsewhere, Estevao Willian will not feature for the Blues again this season. The Brazil international has been ruled out of this summer’s World Cup due to a grade four hamstring injury he suffered in the defeat to Manchester United last month.
Jesse Derry remains absent for Chelsea after suffering a nasty head injury in the defeat to Nottingham Forest earlier in the month. The teenage winger made two appearances in the FA Cup leading up to this point.
Another player not available for Chelsea – as has been the case for some time – is Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been suspended since December 2024 after failing a drugs test. The Ukrainian, though, has appealed against a four-year ban.
