Stefan Borson has revealed an ideal theory for Arsenal regarding the Manchester City alleged 115-plus financial breaches outcome
Arsenal are on the cusp of a historic Premier League season, and by this time next week, they may have already been crowned as champions. Wins over Burnley and Crystal Palace will confirm them as league winners; equally, being victorious on Monday, followed by Bournemouth getting a result against Manchester City the following evening, would achieve the same result.
The title has been played with the backdrop of one of the title challengers continuing to await the outcome of a major investigation. Man City are alleged to have broken Financial Fair Play rules between 2009 and 2018.
Initially, 115 breaches were alleged, but that number is reportedly even higher, reaching 130. The process began in September 2024 and a result nearly two years later is still yet to come.

Some Arsenal fans had feared that an outcome this season could leave the Gunners with an asterisk against their name, were their main rivals hypothetically to have received a sporting punishment, such as a points deduction.
What will come as a relief to those is the opinion of financial expert Stefan Borson, who appeared on TalkSport this week. Speaking on the White and Jordan show, Borson said: “I think it’s coming quite soon, but then we have said that before, right?
“My best guess and the kind of feeling in the parties is that it will come at the end of the season – June would be most likely, that’s the feeling.
“There’s no justification now from a kind of how long it takes to write this up, there’s no justification now.
“This is now ridiculous territory. 18 months to write up a decision in a private arbitration is clearly ridiculous.
“There’ve been little things that I’ve heard that would signify that we are coming to the end of the process of writing it up.”
This would mean, therefore, that Arsenal can wrap up the title and their fans can sit back and await the outcome. Knowing whatever happens, any ramifications came after they successfully beat Pep Guardiola’s team, prior to any result.
