The United Arab Emirates has denied a statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding an alleged secret visit by Netanyahu to the UAE or the reception of any Israeli military delegation on its territory.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the UAE said that “its relations with Israel are public and were established within the framework of the well-known and publicly declared Abraham Accords,” adding that “These relations are not based on secrecy or clandestine arrangements”.
It concluded: “Therefore any claims regarding undisclosed visits or arrangements are baseless unless issued by the relevant official authorities in the UAE.”
