Pavlovic offer to be submitted

Manchester United are “ready” to submit a €50 million offer for AC Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic when the summer transfer window opens, according to reports in Italy.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Milan since his arrival from RB Salzburg in 2024, and he has scored five goals in 32 Serie A appearances so far this season.

Chelsea are understood to be admirers of the Serbia international, but Man Utd are keen to win the race for his signature and they are “ready” to lodge a formal bid worth €50m, as per a report from Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.

It’s claimed that Pavlovic is “likely” to leave San Siro ahead of next season, and Man Utd are widely considered to be the frontrunners in the race to sign him.

Man Utd plan Valverde bid

Manchester United are planning to bid for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde following the Uruguay international’s fall from grace at the Bernabeu.

Valverde hit the headlines last weekend as he was hospitalised with a traumatic brain injury following a training ground clash with fellow midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as Real Madrid’s internal crisis hit a new level.

United are ready to take advantage of the situation by making a bid for the 27-year-old, according to The Mirror.

Old Trafford chiefs are exploring the possibility of bidding for Valverde in the wake of his bust-up behind the scenes at Real Madrid.

United are on the lookout for at least two central midfielders this summer, and while they have a long list of possibilities, Valverde was not initially among those players considered. However, the current situation at Los Blancos has prompted the club to reassess the situation and they are now “weighing up” the possibility of a move.

Man Utd favourites for Fernandes transfer

Manchester United have emerged as frontrunners to sign Mateus Fernandes this summer, with the West Ham star said to be ‘extremely keen’ on a move after contact was made over a deal.

Reports surfaced this week of Paris Saint-Germain entering the race to sign Fernandes, while The Times have revealed that Arsenal are also interested in a potential transfer for the 21-year-old.

However, according to TEAMtalk, United may prove the strongest suitors for Fernandes after speaking to the player’s representatives, with both sides ‘very keen’ on each other.

In particular, the West Ham midfielder is understood to be excited at a potential link-up with his namesake Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford, whom he considers an idol.

West Ham do not want to sell Fernandes and would reportedly demand a fee in excess of €90 million if they avoid the drop, however they would be forced into a sale for a significantly lower fee if they do get relegated into the Championship.

’Discreet enquiry’ made over Williams

Manchester United are one of four Premier League clubs who have made a “discreet enquiry” to understand the possibility of signing Neco Williams this summer.

The Nottingham Forest full-back has been one of the club’s standout performers so far this season and his form has attracted interest from several English top flight rivals, as per a report from BBC Sport reporter Sami Mokbel.

It’s claimed that Aston Villa, Everton, Man Utd and Newcastle United have all made “discreet enquiries” about the 25-year-old as they look to pursue a deal during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Williams still has three years remaining on his current deal at the City Ground but Vitor Pereira’s side have reportedly opened talks with the Wales international over a contract extension ahead of this summer as they have no plans to cash in on the defender.
