Chelsea can salvage something from what otherwise has been an underwhelming season on Saturday afternoon. The Blues go head-to-head with Manchester City at Wembley Stadium this weekend in the FA Cup final.
Way back in 2018 was the last time Chelsea lifted the country’s most historic trophy, for the eighth time. However, the Blues’ recent record in the FA Cup final is poor – losing their last three (2020, 2021 and 2022). McFarlane will be hoping to end Chelsea’s final hoodoo and win his first piece of silverware at this level.
The interim head coach will be hoping to welcome a couple of injured players back to the squad in Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto – and we are set to hear more on their fitness this afternoon.
