Arsenal fans to replicate ‘meet the bus’ event before Burnley clash at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal fan group Red Action are encouraging supporters to replicate the ‘meet the bus’ event for their home match against Burnley in an even bigger way to what was seen before the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid

Arsenal supporters’ club Red Action are planning another ‘meet the bus’ event ahead of the final home Premier League match of the season. The Gunners take on Burnley, looking to take yet another step toward their ultimate goal of winning the title.

Red Action helped organise, encourage and champion the last ‘meet the bus’ event, which was a massive success. The scenes outside the armoury around two hours before kick-off were like nothing ever seen before.

Huge boos rang out when the Atletico Madrid bus passed around the roundabout at the entrance of Hornsea Road. When the Arsenal bus arrived, the roar from the crowd, the volume from the chanting and the spectacle of the event is something that helped inspire the victory which sent the Gunners to only their second ever UEFA Champions League final following the 1-0 win.

football.london understands that the event was appreciated greatly by Mikel Arteta and the players, too. The manager spoke to the press after the victory and made reference to the scenes they passed through.

“It’s an incredible night, we made history again together, and I cannot be happier, prouder for everybody that’s involved in this football club. The manner that we received outside the stadium was special and unique,” he said.

“The atmosphere, our support has created the energy, the way they managed every ball with us, they made it special and unique, I never felt that in the stadium.”

Bukayo Saka added: “It started before the game, when we were arriving in the coaches, I’ve never seen anything like it. They pushed us and pushed us and pushed us, and they got this moment in the end. So, we’re celebrating it together.”

After such a successful event the first time around, it is hoped that even more supporters will attend to cheer on the title contenders. Details of the event can be found on X @REDactionAFC.
