Bournemouth’s Kroupi concern
Bournemouth are worried that a Champions League club will poach Eli Kroupi this summer, the BBC reports.
The Cherries are optimistic that they won’t have to endure another exodus like last year, but they accept that some players will look to move to a bigger club this summer. Kroupi’s future, in particular, is cause for concern.
The teenage sensation is being actively courted by numerous top clubs, including Arsenal and Man Utd, engendering a growing feeling that he could be the biggest departure of the window.
Liverpool make Trincao move
Liverpool have taken “concrete steps” to sign Sporting CP attacker Francisco Trincao this summer, CaughtOffside claims.
The former Barcelona prospect is capable of operating in numerous attacking roles and has been one of Sporting’s most dangerous players this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions. Liverpool, of course, are looking for a Mohamed Salah replacement.
The report does not specify what Liverpool’s “concrete steps” are, other than that they have registered their interest, along with numerous other Premier League sides such as Chelsea. The Portugal international has a €60 million release clause.
Chelsea in pole position for striker signing
Chelsea are the favourites to sign Ghana youth international Robinho Yao Gavi, as per TEAMtalk.
The Blues have been following the young striker’s exploits “for months” and are currently in pole position to secure his signature. However, the 16-year-old is also fielding interest from Napoli and clubs from other top-five leagues.
Ghana will kick off their U17 African Cup of Nations campaign this week, and Yao Gavi is expected to play a big role for the Black Stars at the tournament.
Alvarez “wants to leave” Atleti
Julian Alvarez is keen to leave Atletico Madrid this summer after a second trophyless season, Cadena SER states.
The Argentina international has yet to inform the club of his decision, but senior figures “suspect” that he is looking for a way out because his entourage have engaged in talks with potential suitors for months.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and PSG have been linked with a move for Alvarez. The outlet claims that he is “not keen” to return to England after his previous spell at Man City.
Liverpool’s in-house Alisson replacement
Liverpool will not sign an immediate replacement for Alisson should he join Juventus this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Brazilian shot-stopper is in talks with the Bianconeri and is believed to be open to returning to Italy after previously suiting up for AS Roma. However, Alisson will leave the final decision to Liverpool as he still has a year left on his contract.
Should the Reds give the green light for him to complete his move, Giorgi Mamardashvili would become the club’s new long-term No.1, despite not always looking truly convincing this season.
