Qatari Prime Minister and foreign minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss regional tensions and efforts to maintain stability, according to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
In a post on X, the ministry said the two officials discussed bilateral relations and “developments in the situation in the region, particularly those related to the ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
Qatar stressed the importance of all parties engaging with mediation efforts, adding that a lasting solution depends on dialogue and addressing the “root causes of the crisis”.
