Zac Lomax and his partner have announced they are expecting a baby via their Instagram.
The former Paramatta Eel and his partner Kayla Green posted a heartwarming video on the social media platform.
It entailed a short clip of their ultrasound, where the baby’s heartbeat could be heard.
The video then cuts to the couple sitting by a stunning sunset, and enjoying a cake with the words, ‘baby Lomax’ written on the top.
The pair then cut the cake using two champagne flutes to reveal the blue colouring inside, confirming that they are having a baby boy.

Lomax was part of a high-profile court case surrounding his contract with the Parmatta Eeels that prevented him from playing for any other team in the NRL until 2028
Cue the sounds of joy as Kayla screeched with happiness at the reveal and the two broke out into a fit of laughter.
It’s just the sort of good news that can really be a tonic to what has been a difficult year for Lomax.
The Eels had initially released the 26-year-old at the end of the 2025 season with rumours swirling that he would be joining the rival R360 league.
But when R360 postponed its launch until 2028Â last November, Lomax was left in limbo before looking to secure a move to AAMI Park.
Then came the legal battle over his contract with Eels that did not allow for him to play for any other NRL team until the end of his originally signed contract with the team that expired in 2028.
Lomax had hired a lawyer in an attempt to get out from the Eels so that he could find another club while he waits for the R360 league to start up.
In December, Lomax’s lawyer Ramy Qutami said the winger could play with the Storm, Perth Bears or Canberra Raiders, Paramatta’s barrister Arthur Moses SC told the court.
Whether the Eels’ withholding of consent to move to an NRL rival was reasonable or not depended on the conduct of both teams and Lomax, the barrister added.
Lomax, 26, contends this contractual restriction cannot be enforced – while Paramatta claims it is legal and valid.
Eventually the Supreme Court would rule against Lomax and both he and the club would agree that he may not play for another NRL team until 2028 with the Eels’ permission.

Instead of attempting to find another club in the NRL that Paramatta would allow him to play for, Lomax opted to switch codes.
He joined fellow former-NRL stars Angus Crichton and Mark Nawaqanitawase in joining the Rugby Australia rugby union league.
Lomax joined the struggling Western Force, who currently sit second-from-bottom having won just four of their eleven matches so far this season.
He has featured twice for the Force, scoring his only try of the season so far on his debut.
His decision to move across to union for the current and potentially upcoming season means he is now eligible to play at the 2027 Rugby World Cup which will be hosted in his homeland of Australia.Â
