Arsenal have been told how they can sign Kylian Mbappe after the Real Madrid man pulled out of El Clasico
Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit believes the Gunners could be handed a dream path to signing Kylian Mbappe this summer amid ongoing issues at Real Madrid. The French forward has been criticised in recent weeks for his behaviour by some of the Spanish press and Los Blancos supporters, before walking out of training with a hamstring problem ahead of a crunch clash with Barcelona in El Clasico.
Hansi Flick’s side can win the La Liga title if they avoid defeat to Real this weekend, but Arvelo Arbeloa’s side are in a mess heading into the crunch clash. If they are to beat Barcelona, they’ll have to do so without several key players.
Mbappe pulled out of training ahead of Real Madrid’s clash with Barcelona in El Clasico later this evening and it’s been a week or so to forget for the French international. The France forward has dominated headlines for negative reasons lately as millions add their names to a petition demanding his departure from the club.
Real’s campaign appears destined to conclude without silverware while Barcelona edge closer to securing another La Liga crown. The 27-year-old shocked his colleagues by stopping during training, declaring his problem and departing.

Arsenal infamously tried to sign Mbappe earlier on in his career and continue to be linked with a move for the superstar despite his move to Real Madrid.
“The only way he leaves is if Florentino Perez cracks under the pressure,” Petit told BOYLE Sports. “Millions of fans have signed to say they want him to leave the club.
“That could be the end for Mbappe because Florentino Perez is a political guy. If Arsenal win the Champions League for the first time then it would change the course of their history and send a strong message in the transfer market.”
Los Blancos have published their squad list for Sunday’s heavyweight encounter, but it featured just four forwards, with Mbappe left out. It leaves Vinicius Jnr as their primary attacking threat.
Mbappe has faced intense scrutiny from the Bernabeu faithful after he opted for a yacht holiday with his new girlfriend while recuperating from his hamstring injury. The petition urging the club to offload him this summer has accumulated a remarkable 70 million signatures.
The French star has netted 41 goals across all competitions this campaign and scored the opening goal when Real defeated Barcelona 2-1 earlier this season. However, a recent downturn has seen them win in just five of their last ten La Liga fixtures.
The Spanish giants enter the Clasico following an altercation involving Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni. The pair were embroiled in an explosive dressing room confrontation with the Uruguayan sustaining a head laceration and requiring hospital attention.
Both players received €500,000 fines for their involvement in the incident. Despite the controversy in Madrid, Petit doesn’t see Mbappe leaving Los Blancos unless the decision is made for him.
“Arsenal would love Kylian Mbappe and he’d be perfect on their left wing,” the former Gunners man said. “The only reason I think Mbappe will stay at Real Madrid is because if he leaves without winning a trophy it would make his move a failure.
“Mbappe has a huge ego so he will probably want to stay and to prove the opposite. I’m pretty sure about that. I don’t see him leaving Madrid, probably the biggest club in the world, unless the decision is made for him.”
