The chairman of Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed has expressed appreciation to everyone who assisted in the success of this year’s Federation Cup, and declared that it was a collective achievement.
Sports247 reports that Liameed acknowledged that it was not an individual show and declared that having all hands on deck made this year’s competition the best seen in a long while, with great excitement in the final proving its quality.

Liameed noted further that the competition was a strong statement of intent for the future of grassroots football in Lagos, as it turned out to be a platform for talent discovery, youth development and celebration of emerging clubs across the state.
He also acknowledged the role of stakeholders, club owners, referees, sponsors, government officials, fans, journalists and football enthusiasts, who contributed to seamless conclusion of the competition with far reaching collaborations.
“The success of this FA Cup is a collective achievement. It shows what is possible when we work together with a shared vision. Our focus remains on ensuring that every talented player in Lagos has a chance to be seen and developed,” Liameed posited.
Sports247 reports further that Ikorodu City won the male version by defeating G12 FC 1-0 through Tosin Oyedokun’s 75th minute goal, while FC Robo Queens took their 14th title with a 4-0 mauling of Ghetto Tigers Ladies of Mushin.
