Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, says current discussions centre on securing a ceasefire, ending the war and restoring regional stability.
In an interview with IRNA, Baghaei said officials in Tehran are still examining the US proposal and will decide once the review is complete.
He added that Iran will relay its decision to Pakistani mediators, with the next steps to depend on the outcome of the ongoing exchange of messages.
