What was nearly a potentially tragic moment at a baseball game was stopped when a fan pulled a fellow spectator back off a ledge at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
The St. Louis Cardinals were playing the NL Central rival Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night when fans captured a man in the upper levels of the ballpark with one leg dangling over the edge.
The fan in the blue shirt was seen sitting up on the ledge of the terrace, with his left leg draped over the side.
In the process, a man approached him from behind and tackled him back into the seats – preventing what could have been an even worse scene.
Despite being saved from potential serious bodily injury, the near-jumper began fighting the man who pulled him back.
Fists were seen flying as the two needed to be pulled apart while other nearby fans stood and watched in horror.

Another spectator surprised the near-jumper from behind and tackled him into the stands
‘Is there security up there?’ one fan was heard saying in the background of the video.
Eventually, it appears that the non-jumper was held down by the other fans surrounding him.
It’s unclear what led to the situation to begin with. The Daily Mail has contacted the Cardinals for comment on this matter.
Baseball fans have died in the past after falling from the edge of the stands at ballparks in the past.
Back in 2011, a fan died after flipping over a railing at The Ballpark in Arlington during a Texas Rangers game as he tried reaching to grab a ball thrown his way.
