Arsenal will look to revamp their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window
Arsenal are set for an interesting summer with the transfer window on the horizon. The Gunners have already assembled a team capable of competing on multiple fronts as Mikel Arteta’s side aim to end the season with silverware.
Last summer, Arsenal significantly improved the depth of their squad, with Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze being standout signings. The club will once again turn to the transfer market to bolster their efforts for the sport’s biggest honours.
However, this desire to add new players could push those on the fringes of the team further down the pecking order. As the Gunners edge closer to clinching the Premier League title, the end of the season could see several players move on.
With only a few games remaining, a handful of Arsenal players may have already played their last game under Arteta. Here, football.london looks at a handful of stars who may not feature again before leaving the club in the summer.

Christian Norgaard
Christian Norgaard was brought in to provide an experienced option in midfield last summer but the former Brentford star has struggled for opportunities. His six Premier League appearances have all come off the bench and total less than 60 minutes, with Arteta heavily relying on his preferred pairing of Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.
The 32-year-old has continued to be sidelined even after Mikel Merino’s injury and saw Myles Lewis-Skelly start ahead of him against Fulham last weekend. Given his lack of minutes, Norgaard could decide to leave the Gunners in search of regular football.
Ethan Nwaneri
The talented teenager sought a loan move away from Arsenal in January. Nwaneri had started four games for the Gunners in the first half of the campaign before joining Marseille.
The 19-year-old made an instant impression with the French side, scoring on his debut. There were initial concerns among sections of Arsenal fans that the club had made a mistake in allowing Nwaneri to leave as Martin Odegaard and Eze both battled fitness problems.
A change of manager at Marseille has halted the midfielder’s progress. However, Nwaneri may still choose to pursue a permanent move elsewhere if his chances of forcing his way into Arteta’s team are unlikely to improve next season.
Fabio Vieira
Fabio Vieira has not featured for Arsenal since April 2024. The 25-year-old was signed on a long-term deal from Porto in 2022 and had played 49 games for the Gunners.
He has spent the last two seasons away from the club and is currently on loan at Hamburg. The midfielder has emerged as a key player for the German side and his loan deal includes a £17.3million option to buy, which could be triggered this summer.
Jakub Kiwior
Jakub Kiwior is set to continue his new chapter at Porto after signing on loan last summer. The 26-year-old defender made 68 appearances during his two-and-a-half-year stint with the Gunners.
Kiwior’s move to Porto includes an obligation to buy. He has made 38 appearances across all competitions and clinched the Primeira Liga title.
Reiss Nelson
The Arsenal academy graduate will be entering the last year of his contract, should he return from his Brentford loan spell. The 26-year-old has endured an injury-hit campaign, limiting him to 13 appearances for the Bees.
Brentford have the option to make his move permanent if Nelson has sufficiently impressed manager Keith Andrews. The midfielder featured once for Arsenal last season before joining Fulham on a temporary basis.
