Iran says it has struck a US frigate with two missiles near Jask Island after it ignored warnings to stay away from the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.
The news agency, citing local sources, said the warship turned back from the area and was forced to flee.
Iran’s navy also said it prevented the entry of US warships in the Strait of Hormuz, according to state TV.
