All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Casemiro, Christian Pulisic and Morgan Rogers.
Casemiro decision is final
Casemiro’s decision to leave Man Utd this summer is final, according to Fabrizio Romano.
There have been growing calls for the Brazilian to stay one more season after his inspired form in recent months, but the transfer insider insists that the veteran midfielder’s free transfer departure is already set in stone.
A move to Major League Soccer is a distinct possibility, Romano says. Inter Miami have been in talks to bring Casemiro to Florida since at least March. “Despite some calls from Saudi Arabia, MLS remains a strong and real possibility,” the Italian explained.
Sadiki war
Man Utd are at “war” with Chelsea over Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki, CaughtOffside claims.
The Red Devils have been showing an interest in the DR Congo international since at least December, when initial talks over a potential summer move took place. Since then, Chelsea have also begun discussions with his camp.
Sunderland, for their part, are unwilling to part with Sadiki after just one season. It would take an “astronomical” fee in the region of €60 million to prise him away from the Stadium of Light.
New Casemiro replacement?
Man Utd have identified a new midfield target in Botafogo star Danilo, local outlet FogaoNET asserts.
It is claimed that Man Utd have now entered the race to sign the Brazilian, who is also being chased by Fulham. The interest from the Red Devils is still at an early stage.
Botafogo are believed to be ready to sell Danilo for a fee in the region of €40m, though they are hopeful that he makes Brazil’s World Cup squad, which would naturally increase his value. He made his senior debut for the national team in March.
Man Utd interested in Pulisic
Man Utd are “attracted” to AC Milan attacker Christian Pulisic, as per TEAMtalk.
The Red Devils are looking for a versatile forward to replace Joshua Zirkzee, and Pulisic’s contract situation has piqued their interest. The American’s current deal expires next year, and Milan have shown no urgency to extend it.
Man Utd are undeterred by the fact that Pulisic is currently enduring the worst goal drought of his professional career, having not scored since December.
Fernandes in demand
Joe Cole is convinced that clubs will “clubs will be circling” for Mateus Fernandes this summer.
The Portuguese has been linked with Man Utd after reportedly getting recommended by club captain Bruno Fernandes. It is believed that Fernandes could leave the Hammers even if they manage to stay up.
“An absolute dream. Proper player, I really like him,” Cole said. “Where West Ham are at the moment, you’ve just got to put any of those things aside. It’s all about survival.
“But certainly, if West Ham get over the line and they survive in the Premier League, he’s going to be one that they’ll build the team around in the future, because there’ll be clubs circling for sure.”
Rogers to cost a fortune
Aston Villa will use Liverpool’s €125m fee for Florian Wirtz as a benchmark for their Morgan Rogers price tag, TEAMtalk states.
The Villans believe that Rogers is on a similar level to Wirtz and among the best attacking midfielders in world football. Consequently, he warrants a fee in the same ballpark as the Liverpool star.
Man Utd are one of Rogers’ biggest admirers as they look for a new left-winger. Despite Villa’s stance, it is believed that they will look to sell the England star to fund their incoming summer business.
