The two main participants in a brawl between the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks received heavy fines for their involvement in an ugly fight during an even uglier game.
Late in the first half, Hawks star Dyson Daniels and Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson were fighting for position during a free throw attempt.
The two began yelling at each other and clinched on before teammates separated the pair.Â
Robinson and Daniels continued to go after each other despite having multiple people attempting to keep them separate.
Both players were ejected from the contest for the rest of the evening, with the possibility of further punishment.
On Friday night, the NBA dished that punishment out – fining Robinson $50,000 for his role while Daniels was fined $25,000.
