Arsenal take on Fulham on Saturday evening, looking to secure an important result and move six points clear of Premier League title rivals Manchester City. However, their results when playing domestic matches sandwiched between late-stage Champions League matches have a patchy past.
Losing to Bournemouth between both legs against Sporting CP, and of course, the defeat to Aston Villa two seasons ago between the games with Bayern Munich, brings back painful memories. But with the Premier League title an even more realistic target this season at this stage, this match is, for now, the most important.

Bukayo Saka could potentially start this game, and I think he would if Arsenal didn’t have a game on Tuesday, but instead, he might play a lot of the second half, meaning Noni Madueke comes back in.
