Arsenal can move six points clear at the top of Premier League on Saturday with victory over Fulham
Mikel Arteta has issued an Arsenal injury update ahead of his side’s must-win clash against Fulham.
The Gunners can move six points ahead of second-place Manchester City with victory as Pep Guardiola’s hungry challengers are not in action until Monday evening when they travel to European hopefuls Everton.
The bad news is, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber won’t be ready to face the Cottagers.
Arteta said of the duo: “Kai and Jurrien will be out” while also adding that he did not believe the club had picked up any fresh fitness issues following their midweek Champions League semi-final draw at Atletico Madrid.

He added: “I think so, let’s see how everyone is tomorrow morning. We haven’t been able to train much.”
There is also doubt over the availability of captain Martin Odegaard, who was forced off in the second half at the Metropolitano.
When asked if he’ll be ready to feature this weekend, Arteta said: “Let’s see.”
The Norwegian has been hampered by a knee issue sustained in the 1-1 draw at Brentford in February over the past few months.
He has endured several spells on the sidelines but has been back starting matches over the past few weeks as he bids to help the Gunners get over the line in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Arteta’s comment appears to suggest it’s not a given he’ll be ready to play against Marco Silva’s side at the Emirates Stadium.
