Arsenal are set to host Fulham on Saturday as part of the team’s hectic fixture list
Arsenal are competing on two fronts as the Gunners gear up for the next phase of the Premier League title race. Mikel Arteta’s squad are set to welcome Fulham on Saturday, just days after their Champions League semi-final encounter with Atletico Madrid.
Lifting the Champions League trophy remains within reach but Arsenal must now fully focus on Marco Silva’s outfit. A comparable situation saw the Gunners lose to Bournemouth between their quarter-final ties with Sporting CP, which provided Manchester City with impetus in the title run-in.
Arteta’s side hold a three-point advantage over their title challengers but have played one more game. With four matches remaining, Arsenal have little room for mistakes during the final stretch and have received a clear message from club icon Thierry Henry.

Thierry Henry sends Arsenal message
Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry has urged his former club to welcome the prospect of challenging for two huge trophies. The Gunners lead the Premier League standings and also face a crucial second leg against Atletico Madrid next week.
Arteta’s team left Madrid with a 1-1 draw ahead of an absorbing second leg at the Emirates Stadium. With Fulham looming next, there is little opportunity to contemplate a potential Champions League final. Yet Henry has urged the squad to embrace their congested fixture list.
“I don’t see any issue. I’m not saying it is going to be easy and pleasant because the game again at Newcastle was very difficult,” Henry told CBS Sports. “But you have the squad to be able to deal with that, so deal with it,” concluded in a pointed three-word message.
Arsenal have the chance to establish a six-point advantage over City with victory on Saturday. Meanwhile, Guardiola’s side will be aware of the Gunners’ result when they travel to Everton on Monday.
Cesc Fabregas ‘plan’
Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has enjoyed an encouraging start to management. The 38-year-old became Como boss on a permanent basis in 2024 and a potential plan for his coaching career has surfaced.
Como are fifth in Serie A and have hopes of securing Champions League qualification. Fabregas’ work from the touchline has sparked speculation linking him with the available Chelsea position.
Yet Sky Sports has reported that Fabregas is regarded as a potential Arsenal manager. While there is no indication he could succeed Arteta soon, he is viewed as a “long-term” candidate for the role.
Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast also questioned whether a switch to Chelsea would mark “career progression” for Fabregas. The former Spain international represented both clubs, turning out 303 times for the Gunners and featuring in 198 matches for Chelsea.
