Donald Trump has declared “No more Mr Nice Guy” towards Iran as he shared an AI-generated of himself holding a gun against a backdrop of buildings being bombed.
The US president said in the caption of his Truth Social post that Iran does not “know how to sign a non-nuclear deal”.
It comes after Iran offered to end its chokehold on the Strait if the US lifts its blockade on the country and ends the war in a proposal that would postpone discussions on Tehran’s nuclear programme, two regional officials said on Monday.
However, Trump is understood to be unlikely to accept the offer, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has appeared to rule out any deal that excludes Iran’s nuclear programme.
