United still in for Stiller
VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller is fielding interest from various elite clubs, including Manchester United.
A transfer for Stiller is picking up steam, with it fully expected that he will take the next step in his career this summer, and clubs are queuing up for him, BILD reports, after opting against leaving Stuttgart last year.
Man Utd, who have been following the German for years, are still in the mix as they look to revamp their midfield. Chelsea are now interested too, the tabloid states. Long-time admirers Real Madrid remain involved as well.
Stiller has a €40 million release clause, but Stuttgart can remove it in exchange for a €2m compensation fee. Naturally, the club will make use of this to get more value out of Stiller and command around €45m.
Leipzig preparing to keep Diomande
Manchester United could be hit with crushing news that could see them miss out on their top transfer target this summer.
United will be in the market for a new wide forward during the upcoming transfer window and their search has led them to Yan Diomande, whom RB Leipzig have placed a €100 million price tag on after his performances this season.
But reports in Germany are now claiming that Leipzig will aim to tie Diomande down to a new contract in order to keep the teenager at the club for another year, with any fresh deal set to contain a big salary bump and a release clause allowing him to leave next summer.
Diomande is believed to be open to such an arrangement if Leipzig qualify for the Champions League, although the club would still find it difficult to turn down a lucrative offer from a major European side this summer.
Fernandes seeking Man Utd assurances as release clause emerges
Bruno Fernandes will demand assurances over Manchester United’s ambitions if the superstar playmaker is to remain at the club this summer after the emergence of a release clause in his contract.
Having come close to leaving United for Saudi Arabia last summer, United are in danger of losing their captain again this year, with The Telegraph reporting that Fernandes has a release clause of €65 million, believed to be active until the first half of July.
Fernandes is entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and, although United have an option to extend the 31-year-old’s deal until 2028, the player is believed to be seeking assurances over the club’s ambitions going forward.
It is unclear whether Fernandes will wait to see how United’s transfer plans unfold during the summer but the club are hoping that their aim to assemble a squad capable of winning the biggest trophies will resonate with the Portuguese international.
Ugarte price revealed
Manchester United have named their price for an in-demand star whose ‘days are numbered’ at Old Trafford ahead of the summer transfer window.
Talks are scheduled to be held this week to provide clarity on the futures of a number of stars who are expected to leave the club, with as many as ten players set to be on the chopping block.
One of those players is likely to be Manuel Ugarte as United look to make at least two marquee midfield signings this summer and the player’s representatives are set to meet with super agent Jorge Mendes to help facilitate the 25-year-old’s exit.
That is according to Uruguayan reporter Rodri Vazquez who claimed that Ugarte’s ‘days are numbered’ at United, with the club aiming for a permanent sale worth around €28m.
