Kim Jong Un agreed to send tens of thousands of soldiers to Europe in a bid to boost Russian despot Vladimir Putin’s ongoing efforts to snatch as much territory from Ukraine
Tyrant Kim Jong Un has admitted for the first time that North Korean soldiers follow a self-destruct policy on the battlefields of Ukraine.
The dictator confirmed the fact while speaking at the inauguration of a memorial museum dedicated to North Korean soldiers who died in the ongoing war. Kim praised what he called the “extraordinary heroism” of troops who “unhesitatingly opted for self-blasting, suicide attack”, instead of being captured.
North Korea is the only third country to partly deployed its soldiers to the frontlines of the war in Ukraine. Kim sent soldiers to their deaths after agreeing a deal with Vladimir Putin. Some 15,000 soldiers from the Hermit Kingdom have been deployed to the frontlines.

The soldiers take part in combat operations and were involved in the recapture of parts in the Kursk region, South Korean intelligence said. It is estimated that some 2,000 North Korean soldiers have died in the war so far.
A memorial to fallen soldiers was unveiled this past Sunday in Pyongyang with Kim and Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov attending the event, as reports KCNA. North Korean soldiers have been deployed to Russia to remove mines and have demonstrated “absolute loyalty” to Kim.
Kim has previously been seen hugging troops who returned to Pyongyang from the European frontline with some troops being left in wheelchairs and with serious injuries. In November last year, Kim said nine men who had died in Kursk would be given the award of Hero of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
In a speech at the time, Kim said: “All of you, both officers and soldiers, displayed mass heroism overcoming unimaginable mental and physical burdens almost every day.”
Kim has previously called the ongoing war in Ukraine as a “new history of friendship with Russia written in blood” as well as a “sacred war to wipe out the Ukrainian armed invaders.” He and Belousov have discussed signing a military cooperation agreement that will cover from 2027 through to 2031, reports the Independent.
While the war rages on in Europe, North Korea has taken the opportunity to carry out live weapons tests alongside a larger missile testing programme.
