US President Donald Trump said China could play a larger role in addressing the conflict with Iran, though he added he was not “overly disappointed” with Beijing’s current stance.
Trump said China “could help a lot more” while drawing comparisons to US support for allies in other conflicts.
He is scheduled to meet Xi Jinping in Beijing on 14 May, where the issue is expected to be discussed.
