Currently serving as Senior Special Assistant on Sports to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ojo has built a strong reputation as a relentless scout and agent whose influence continues to shape careers.
His track record speaks for itself. He has played key roles in the careers of notable players such as Oghenekaro Etebo, Bruno Onyemaechi, Jordan Kadiri, Olakunle Olusegun, and Kparobo Arierhi, among many others who have gone on to secure opportunities abroad.
But beyond transfers, Ojo’s influence extends into grassroots development and coaching education. Through strategic sponsorships, he has supported numerous Nigerian coaches—especially from Delta State—by providing access to international training and certification programmes.
These initiatives have had a lasting impact, with beneficiaries returning to Nigeria equipped with modern coaching knowledge and contributing to the development of young talents at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the nomination, Head of Operations for the awards, Taiwo Oduoye, described the honour as a reflection of Ojo’s broader impact.
“This is not just about transfers. It’s about empowerment, mentorship, and creating opportunities for Nigerian youths through football,” he said.
With this latest recognition, Paul Omamomo Ojo continues to solidify his position as one of the key drivers of Nigerian football’s global growth, a figure whose legacy is defined not just by deals—but by lives changed and futures created.
