Newcastle United value Sandro Tonali at a minimum of €100 million amid reported interest from Man Utd, according to a report from TuttoJuve.
The Italy international has been earmarked as a possible replacement for the departing Casemiro by the Old Trafford hierarchy and Man Utd officials are expected to intensify their pursuit of his signature when the summer window opens in June.
It’s reported that Newcastle are ready to sell Tonali in order to raise money to fund their own summer business, but TuttoJuve claim that a fee of at least €100m will be required to secure the midfielder ahead of next season.
This could prove extremely problematic for Man Utd, who are hoping to sign two new central midfielders this summer, in addition to a new left winger.
Elliot Anderson ‘destined’ for Man City
Several Nottingham Forest players believe that Elliot Anderson is “destined” to join Manchester City this summer, despite significant interest from Man Utd.
That is according to The Daily Mail, who report that City will engage in advanced talks with Nottingham Forest officials over a transfer fee once Vitor Pereira’s side secure safety for another season.
Man Utd have earmarked Anderson as their top target to replace Casemiro this summer, but they appear set to miss out on his signature to their fierce rivals.

Marcus Rashford latest
Marcus Rashford is doing all he can to complete his dream move to Barcelona and he has made a fresh offer to the Catalan club as he attempts to engineer a permanent switch away from Man Utd.
Hansi Flick’s side have the opportunity to sign him on a permanent basis for €30m this summer, but Barca’s tight financial situation, as well as a dip in form from the England international, means they are currently unlikely to finalise the deal.
However, Rashford is now ready to take action and is prepared to go back to the negotiating table in order to reduce his wages further, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The salary of the 28-year-old is the major stumbling block to the deal, but Rashford is prepared to cut his payments further in order to ease the financial burden on the Blaugrana.
Meanwhile, it’s reported that Rashford is “confident” that his move to Barcelona will be completed and his “immediate plans do not involve playing for Manchester United again.”

Brighton ‘open’ to selling Carlos Baleba
Man Utd remain interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, after failing to finalise a deal last year, and it’s understood that Fabian Hurzeler’s side will listen to offers this summer.
That is per Nicolo Schira, who posted on X: “Carlos Baleba is still a Man Utd target as a midfielder. Man Utd had already agreed personal terms with the player last summer, but Brighton turned down the bid.
“Brighton have now opened the door to the sale and Man Utd are preparing an offer. Chelsea are also interested.”
Baleba has made 31 appearances for Brighton so far this season and while he is still on Man Utd’s radar, he is understood to no longer be their top target.
Michael Carrick denies centre-back speculation
Man Utd interim boss Michael Carrick has confirmed that his side will not look to sign a new central defender this summer, despite rumoured interest in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.
When asked about the prospect of adding a new centre-back to the squad ahead of the Red Devils’ clash against Brentford on Monday evening, Carrick told reporters: “It’s not an area of concern for me at this moment in time.
“At the moment and timing-wise talking about the summer and what goes beyond that, I think it’s difficult to elaborate on that really.
“Licha [Martinez] is actually missing games for a different reason at the minute, which we won’t go into, but I understand why you are asking it. But, no, I haven’t got concerns. I think we’ve got a mixed blend there of experience, of real quality and some young I’d say more than talented [players] really.
“Two promising young players [Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro] that have already shown what they can do. I thought Ayden was fantastic last week in such a difficult game.
“I haven’t got concerns as I sit here. Obviously, what the future looks like, I can’t really get involved [in] because I’m not sure myself.
“In terms of Matta (De Ligt), he’s working towards being fit again. He’s a little bit on the grass and it’s progress, but there is not much else I can say. It’s one of those injuries and he’s rehabbing, he’s working to get fit, so we’re hoping to have him back as soon as possible.”
