WNBA star Lexie Brown was forced to issue a furious denial on Sunday night after being caught up in the storm surrounding NBA icon Klay Thompson’s breakup.
Megan Thee Stallion announced her shock split from her Dallas Mavericks star boyfriend Thompson on Saturday after accusing him of cheating on her.
The rapper confirmed the bombshell breakup in a statement to the Daily Mail, adding that ‘trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship.’
While the Grammy-winning artist didn’t name names or divulge any further details on the allegations, her enraged fans began pointing the finger on social media, unfoundedly dragging Brown into the scandal.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Thompson had unfollowed the Seattle Storm star on Instagram and made the wild leap to begin suspecting Brown. There is, of course, no evidence to suggest that Brown was involved.
Their wild social media accusations forced the former WNBA champion to speak out as Brown took to her Instagram story to deny the baseless claims.

‘I’ve seen what’s being said online, and I want to be clear, none of it is true, and I have no involvement in this situation,’ she wrote.
‘This week marks the start of an important and exciting new season for me, and my focus is fully on that.’
Brown and Storm began their preseason against the Golden State Valkyries on Saturday, suffering a narrow 78-76 defeat before the 2026 WNBA season officially tips off next month.
Brown took to the court shortly after Megan’s shock breakup announcement and cheating accusations dropped.
On Saturday afternoon the rapper shared a blistering post to her Instagram story, signaling an end to her time with veteran NBA star Thompson.
Taking to her Instagram, she wrote: ‘Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? b**** I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall’.
The rapper also provided an exclusive statement to The Daily Mail on Saturday, which read: ‘I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay.
‘Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.’

The couple first sparked romance rumors when he was spotted in the background of one of her sizzling vacation snaps, before they went Instagram official shortly after.
A recent Instagram post of hers indicated that she and Thompson were moving in together. In October, the Grammy Award winner shared an Instagram ‘dump’ to give her followers a glimpse of her life, including one photo that truly set tongues wagging.
The picture in question showed two hands coming together to form a heart with a pair of keys dangling in between. In the background a white house with floor-to-ceiling windows could be seen.
Many of the performer’s fans claimed that one of the hands belonged to Thompson, leading some to believe that the couple had taken their romance to the next level and moved in together.
Meanwhile, as recently as December, the couple sent fans crazy after posting a steamy TikTok together. The ‘Savage’ rapper posted a video to her TikTok and Instagram accounts – showing the couple getting dressed in a massive walk-in closet.
In the viral video, Meg, initially, was seen begging Thompson to put on a camo outfit, while the basketball star is seen pretending to decline.
The video then cut to the NBA champion strutting in the closet, with the outfit Meg picked for him on, as Michael Jackson’s ‘You Rock My World’ plays over the images.

This is not the first time that four-time NBA champion Thompson has faced cheating allegations.
In 2015, his relationship with YouTube star Hannah Stocking ended abruptly after she claimed to have caught him in bed with another woman.
She tagged him in a post that read: ‘When you catch ur man naked in bed with a groupie… lol @KlayThompson.’
The split comes as both stars navigate pivotal moments in their professional careers.
