Manchester City will have some injury concerns when they return to Premier League action as the title race with Arsenal continues
Manchester City will continue to be without several players when they resume their Premier League campaign next weekend. Arsenal are battling City for the title this season and returned to the top of the table this weekend.
The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday, which moved them three points clear of City who now have a game in hand once again after being in FA Cup semi-final action this weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s side clinched a 2-1 victory against the Saints at Wembley Stadium, with Jeremy Doku and Nico Gonzalez netting the crucial goals for City in the semi-final clash.
City were missing several important players for City in the victory over Southampton, and that situation could remain unchanged when they return to Premier League action against Everton on May 4, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Rodri
City will be optimistic about having Rodri available when they meet Everton in their upcoming fixture, with the midfielder having sat out the previous two matches due to a groin injury.
Rodri missed the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton, with Guardiola providing an update during Thursday’s pre-match press conference.
“He’s better. We don’t want to take a risk,” Guardiola said.
“I don’t know yet [if he’ll play vs Everton] – hopefully but we don’t want to take a risk because if he’s injured we will lose him for the next five games and Rodri is so important.”

Ruben Dias
Ruben Dias has been sidelined since being forced off at half-time of City’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Real Madrid.
It remains unclear when the Portuguese defender will be available again, with Abdukodir Khusanov or Marc Guehi forming an impressive centre-back partnership in his absence.
“He’s getting better. He’s not ready for Sunday,” Guardiola said earlier this month before City’s win over Chelsea.

Josko Gvardiol
Josko Gvardiol has been out of action since sustaining a fractured leg back in January, and his recovery continues.
Croatian media have suggested the defender could return to training at some point next month, though it remains uncertain whether Gvardiol will feature again for City before the season draws to a close.
“He’s getting better but still he isn’t close,” Guardiola said earlier this month.
