Jake Paul has jumped to the defense of his fiancee, Olympic gold medalist Jutta Leerdam, following a viral confrontation at a charity soccer event in Los Angeles.
The incident occurred during the CELSIUS Soccer Classic, where Leerdam was seen clashing with online streamer Marlon Garcia and fitness influencer Sara Saffari.
In a clip that has since racked up millions of views, the Dutch speed skater appeared visibly frustrated as the pair attempted to vlog on the pitch, telling them to ‘focus on the ball’ and put the cameras away.
Leerdam, who set an Olympic record in the 1,000m at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games, seemed to take the match more seriously than her influencer counterparts.
Taking to X on Thursday, Paul blasted the streamers for their behavior, insisting that his fiancee is a ‘real person’ who does not care about viral ‘clouts’ or ‘clips.’
‘My girl don’t do this s*** for fun,’ Paul wrote in a blistering post, defending the professional athlete’s mindset during the star-studded event.

‘I don’t need to make clips and have whop clippers to run money behind to be famous. You just met someone who is a real person that doesn’t give a flying f*** about your stream. Play ball homie.
The ‘Problem Child’ went on to explain that while he built his empire in the social media space, he ‘retired’ from that world because of ‘weird s*** like this.’
Paul noted that his current content creation is strictly business-oriented, adding: ‘We make content because our jets have fuel costs, but I used to run that game.’
Despite the pre-match tension, Leerdam’s focus paid off as her side dominated the game, walking away with a 5-1 victory against the opposing team of influencers.
The event turned out to be a massive success for charity, raising $15,000 for various causes while showcasing Leerdam’s mainstream appeal in the United States.
Leerdam and Paul have been engaged since March 2025, and the boxer has been a constant presence at her major competitions, including her gold medal win in Italy.
Paul is currently sidelined from the ring himself as he recovers from a broken jaw suffered during a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in December.
