One of Aussie sport's top power couples announce their engagement with a VERY cheeky video

Collingwood star Harry Perryman has finally popped the question to his netball partner Jamie-Lee Price.

The sporting duo are finally set to cement their place as one of Australia’s power couples.

The AFL star finally got down on one knee after six years with the Mavericks midcourter.

It would appear that the 27-year-old finally got the hints that Price had been dropping.

The 2023 Netball World Cup gold medallist had taken to her TikTok in recent months, lamenting that her partner was yet to ask her to be his wife.

It may have taken some time, but the couple confirmed their engagement on Instagram in a hilarious video captioned ‘he finally did it’.

In the video, the two are sat by a campfire while Price flashes the ring to the camera.

‘What did you do tonight?’ asks Price, to which Perryman replies ‘proposed.’

‘Yep there it is finally after six years,’ he said.

‘Six years too long?’ Price then asks.

And Perryman cheekily responds, ‘nah timed it to perfection – so that’ll shut you up.’

It would seem that Price’s TikToks actually worked in getting her now future husband to get on with it.

After sharing their news, they were inundated with congratulatory messages from a host of fellow famous faces.

Australia teammate Gretel Bueta commented, ‘Congrats honeyyyssss best news in the world!!’

While Collingwood teammate Joey de Goey also said, ‘How good, congrats guys.’

There also seemed to be some concerns over whether the ring would fit on the Australian gold medallist’s finger as Giants netball added, ‘Congrats Jay and Harry! Glad it fit over that broken ring finger.’

A fair few ‘about time’ style messages were also prevalent in the comments, as it appears friends and fans alike had been waiting for Perryman to pop the question as well.

And the celebrations didn’t end there, the Melbourne Mavericks shared a video on Instagram of Price surprising her teammates with the impressive ring.

‘JLP’ as she was named in the caption, is seen at the end of a training session putting her hand in the team circle with the ring gleaming.

She is then mobbed by her teammates who all share in her joy of the announcement.

The Mavericks also took a cheeky pop at how long it took for the two to get engaged by captioning the Instagram post ‘JLP’s a fiance.

‘@collingwood_fc we can’t wait to see Harry’s six-years-in-the-making-announcement post!!’

Celebrations on the AFL team’s account were a little more muted as they echoed the post by the couple and wished the pair congratulations.
