The wife of last year’s No. 2 overall pick is advising the wives and girlfriends of NFL Draft hopefuls to not attend the event after she was repeatedly publicly criticized.
Leanna Lenee, the wife of Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter, posted a candid video to her TikTok account on Wednesday – just one day before the blockbuster event in Pittsburgh.
Throughout Hunter’s senior season at the University of Colorado, Lenee was targeted with abuse on social media from fans who believed she was a gold digger due to perceived slights against the two-way star.
The video she posted on Wednesday seemed to address each of the complaints she received, in the form of an advice video.
‘I see a couple girls like doing advice for girls who are about to go to the draft,’ Lenee began.
‘So here’s my advice: don’t get in the camera because if you get in the camera like too much, you are an “attention whore” and “you want this to revolve around you.”

Lenee’s tongue-in-cheek video ended with a less-than-stellar endorsement of the draft
‘But also don’t avoid the cameras and like sit down and try to dodge the cameras because then “you don’t care about your boyfriend or fiancé or husband,” and supposedly other people are gonna tell you to sit up when really you’re just trying to hide from cameras.
‘Number 2, don’t stand up too fast because then “you’re trying to make it about you,” but also don’t stand up too slow because then “you’re bored and you don’t want to be there.” Don’t hug him before his mom hugs him because then then “that’s wrong” and “his mother should hug him first.” But also hug him before his mom, because then it’s going to look like someone’s trying to tell you to go hug him when really you were just trying to let their mom hug them first.
‘Don’t cry because if you cry then “you’re dramatic,” but also if you don’t cry then “you don’t care about him and you’re just there for money.” Don’t wear heels because when your feet start to hurt and your man carries you, then “you’re trying to make it about you.” But also, if you don’t wear heels, then “you’re classless,” so.
‘Don’t smile too much because if you do, then they’re gonna think that you are just there for money. Um, but also don’t forget to smile because if you’re not smiling, then “you’re miserable and you actually hate him and you’re just with him for money.”
‘Cheer for your man because that’s important, and if you don’t, then you’ll get hated. But also don’t cheer too much because if you do, “you’re doing too much” and you’ll be hated. And that’s all. So actually, just don’t go.’
Hunter concurred with his wife’s words, commenting, ‘U got this one’ with a laughing emoji.
The couple went through a tough 2024 where Lenee was barraged with public criticism
She was accused of being a gold digger before she tied the knot with the ex-Colorado standout
2024 was a rocky year for Lenee and Hunter’s relationship as the public cast doubts on Lenee’s motives for dating the star.
This forced Lenee to defend herself in a lengthy eight-minute video posted after Hunter won the Heisman.
As Hunter was announced as the winner of the prestigious award, Lenee initially remained sitting while Hunter’s mother and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders stood up.
She briefly stood and gave Hunter a hug after Sanders appeared to tap her, but promptly sat back down as Hunter continued embracing his group.
Fans took issue with what they believed to be a slight, sparking horrific backlash on social media.
It’s one of many perceived snubs Lenee had to address. Others included a tense moment after a game against Oklahoma State and some comments she made as Hunter was taking photos with female fans during a pre-Heisman photo shoot .
On a Twitch stream after the ceremony, Hunter revealed that Lenee had cried herself to sleep as she continued to be pelted with criticism.
‘She’s still sleeping, she’s slumped,’ the Heisman winner shared on a Twitch stream.
Hunter said that the backlash led to Lenee crying herself to sleep some nights
‘You know when you’re hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.’
Hunter told people to stop targeting her, specifically calling out ‘clickbait’ pages, social media accounts, and websites.
‘Clickbait pages stop, y’all better stop I’m telling y’all. Something bad is gonna happen to y’all [if you] keep doing that. Y’all better stop that. I ain’t playing,’ he said.
‘Y’all hate on me then you go hate on my girl,’ the two-way star continued. ‘I feel the same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable. We’re with each other. If she’s hurting, I’m hurting.’
