- Avril Mathie wasn’t backing down on Instagram
Beauty queen and former Aussie boxer Avril Mathie has hit back after she was trolled online for removing her breast implants.
Mathie, 38, stated in a recent Instagram post that she has ‘fallen in love with her natural body’ – but some of her followers seemed to disagree.
‘Where did you leave your boobs? In the parking lot?’ one savagely posted.
‘I think you look 12… because only a 12-year-old would have a chest that flat. Flatter than the earth,’ bluntly offered another.
Mathie responded with: ‘Perfect, exactly the look I was going for.’
A third posted: ‘Flat as a board, who would date you?’ to which Mathie said: ‘Thank God not you haha.’

Sydney-born Mathie took up boxing in 2012 and racked up 20 amateur fights before turning professional in 2017
Mathie had the procedure in late 2023 – and soon noticed a change in her boxing style.
‘For the first time ever in my boxing life, my forearms can actually defend both my chin and body simultaneously… now I will be able to throw straight punches longer and faster now that the implants are not in the way forcing my elbows out,’ she posted on her YouTube channel.
‘Give me a few weeks and my boxing is about to be tight.’
Daily Mail understands Mathie is now inactive in the ring, retiring from the sport with an 8-1-1 record, which includes three knockout victories.
She also revealed she had breast implants aged 19 because at the time she was insecure about her body.
Her highly anticipated IBF bantamweight title fight with fellow Aussie Ebanie Bridges – scheduled for December 2023, in San Francisco – was cancelled after Sydney-born Mathie withdrew due to injury.
Mathie – who won the Miss Swimsuit USA International beauty crown in 2014 – started boxing in 2012, racking up 20 amateur bouts before turning professional in December 2017 and quickly impressing fans.
In addition to her Miss Swimsuit USA International win, she also took out the Las Vegas International Model Search in December 2015.
