A senior psychologist has raised alarm over Donald Trump’s declining mental health as the peace talks between the US-Israel and Iran once again gain momentum. French neuropsychiatrist Boris Cyrulnik suggested during a radio interview that US President Donald Trump did not suffer from a mental illness, but rather presented a profile of a “psychopath”. Mr Cyrulnik was speaking at Radio France’s France Inter program, where he said that there is no need to call Donald Trump “crazy”. He said: “ He’s not mentally ill (…) because a crazy person is irresponsible. Trump is responsible.”
He added: “He is a psychopath driven by his impulses. It is a developmental disorder linked to an educational deficiency.”
Trump has always denied suffering from any cognitive issues, adding that he has “aced” multiple mental tests.
On Sunday, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan – They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. We are offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.
Warning there will be “NO MORE MR NICE GUY” if talks fail, Trump said these bridges and power plants will “come down fast, they’ll come down easy”.
The specialist further explained that people with this type of profile often struggle to control their impulses. He said: “They live in the present (…) they act on their impulses.”
Earlier this week, Ty Cobb, an attorney who served as White House counsel during President Donald Trump’s first term said the US President’s cognitive decline has “accelerated” and he now shows signs of Dementia.
He said: “His vocabulary has shrunk, he’s resorted to profanity and threats, totally impulsive– suggestive of the absence of any frontal lobe controls. He doesn’t understand this at all, any more than Joe Biden had difficulty getting off stage and finding the exit.”
In response to Cobb’s comments, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said, “Ty Cobb should immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and he should also shave that caterpillar off his face. President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and other lunatics intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people.”
