Enzo Fernandez was included in the Chelsea starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Manchester United
Enzo Fernandez returned to the Chelsea squad for the clash against Manchester United, but was not given the captain’s armband for the fixture. Fernandez was dropped for the Blues’ previous two fixtures following comments he made about his future.
Liam Rosenior made the decision to leave Fernandez out of the Chelsea squad for the FA Cup quarter-final win over Port Vale and Premier League defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
Saturday night saw Fernandez return to the starting line-up for Chelsea’s home match against the Red Devils, but the midfielder was not wearing the captain’s armband.
The Argentina international has often been Chelsea captain in the absence of Reece James this season, but Rosenior has made the decision to give the honour to Moises Caicedo for the match against United.
