All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Julian Alvarez, Noah Sadiki and Cole Palmer.
Alvarez surprise
Atletico Madrid are determined to hand Julian Alvarez a new contract with a better salary to fend off summer interest, Matteo Moretto reports.
Chelsea are among the many clubs that have been monitoring the Argentina international’s situation, and it is precisely because of this that Atleti are ready to open talks over a fresh deal.
The Spanish giants do not wish to sell their star striker, and any deal would likely require a fee well in excess of €100 million. If their attempts to get Alvarez to agree to a new contract are successful, a summer move would become virtually impossible.
Chelsea hold fresh Sadiki talks
Chelsea have held “new talks” with Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki over a potential transfer, as per Sacha Tavolieri.
The DR Congo international has been attracting major attention with his performances in the Premier League, and Chelsea and Man Utd have been in contact with his representatives since at least December.
Man Utd are currently deemed a more attractive destination for the 21-year-old as they are almost guaranteed to qualify for the Champions League, which is something that Chelsea are currently struggling to achieve.
Palmer shuts down Man Utd links
Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer has dismissed suggestions that he could move to Man Utd in the summer.
The England attacker has been linked with a potential return to Manchester for personal reasons, while Man Utd have identified him as a dream target to replace captain Bruno Fernandes. However, Palmer insists that he is not thinking about a transfer.
“Everyone just talks. When I see it, I just laugh,” he told The Guardian. “Obviously, Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it. Maybe I’ll miss it if I don’t go for three months or something. But then when I get home, I think there’s nothing there for me anyway.”
Chelsea eye Boco Juniors duo
Chelsea are continuing to keep a close eye on the development of Boca Juniors duo Milton Delgado and Dylan Gorosito, La Perla claims.
20-year-old Gorosito has yet to break into the club’s first team and looks to be something of an unusual target for the Blues. Delgado, meanwhile, looks a much more promising prospect.
A regular fixture with the seniors and a long-standing target for the Blues, the 20-year-old looks poised to take the next step in his career in the not-too-distant future.
