Renowned basketball promoter, Igoche Mark has predicted that Nigeria’s representatives at the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) Championship will make the country proud during the competition.
Sports247 reports that Mark stated confidence in the squad’s ability while addressing the players during a send forth visit he made to their camp ahead of the championship in Morocco, where he urged them to put in more effort.

Mark, who had earlier hosted the team in Abuja and assured them of his full support, also praised the club’s proprietor, Akerannan Manusseh Achii, for his determination and motivation, while ensuring that all their needs are met.
“From the technical side, we are solid and I think what we should do is to put in more effort and tell the world that we are strong, resilient, and we don’t back down. On our part, we will do everything to ensure that you are comfortable.
“It is a two-way-thing, I am giving you the assurance that we play our own part and you should play your part as well. To show my support, I will personally be with you in Morocco and cheer you to victory.
“I believe this team will make us proud, make Nigeria proud, and make Maktown Flyers proud,” Mark said about the team coached by Abdur Rahman Muhammad, who emerged champions of Nigeria Basketball League in 2025 to get the BAL ticket.
