The US president has sent a fresh threat to China regarding their shipping of arms to Iran in coming weeks as he claims ‘regardless what happens, we win’ as talks of a deal are held
US President Donald Trump has warned China will have “big problems” if it decides to ship arms to Iran.
Trump spoke to reporters on Saturday, April 11 regarding the “very deep negotiations” with Iran.
He sent a direct threat to president Xi warning that China will face a “big problem” if it delivers air defence systems to Iran.
It is alleged that the country will send the new systems to Iran within the next few weeks.
When questioned on the matter the US president said: “If China does that, China is gonna have big problems, ok?”
His statement comes as Pakistani officials a hosting face-to-face talks regarding the ceasefire deal with America and Iran.
As the talks are occurring Trump has spoke to media on the White House lawn.
He said that he is “getting a lot of reports: of the negotiations that have ben going on for several hours.
Trump added: “”Regardless what happens, we win.
“We’ve totally defeated that country.”
He reiterated that the US has taken out Iran’s air force, navy and leadership and is working to open up the Strait of Hormuz, the main condition in the two week ceasefire agreement.
He claimed that the US are working to open the key oil passage on bhalf of other countries who are “afraid or weak or cheap”.
“We were not helped by Nato,” he told the media.
Referring to the talks held in Pakistan Trump said: “Let’s see what happens, but from my standpoint I don’t care.”
