Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has called on the Nigeria Football Federation to make public the details of its newly amended statutes and electoral reforms, stressing the need for transparency.

With the federation recently announcing changes to its governance and electoral framework, Ekpo believes stakeholders and the general public deserve full access to the information.
“We need to see it,” he said, emphasizing that openness is essential for building trust.
According to the former midfielder, while the NFF has assured that reforms have been made, there remains uncertainty and doubt among football stakeholders.
“People are still unsure,” he noted, highlighting the gap between announcements and understanding.
Ekpo argued that making the details publicly available would not only clarify the reforms but also allow interested individuals to engage meaningfully with the process.
“It’s about accountability,” he implied.
For him, transparency is a critical component of good governance, particularly at a time when Nigerian football is under intense scrutiny.
Without it, he warned, skepticism and mistrust could continue to grow.
“You have to be open,” he stressed.
