Liverpool manager Arne Slot has disclosed that the Reds were totally outclassed by Paris Saint-Germain in the first-leg quarterfinal of the Champions League.
The home side took the lead thanks to a deflected effort in the 11th minute, when Desire Doue’s effort from outside the box looped over the helpless Giorgi Mamardashvili before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia deservedly doubled the advantage in the 65th minute.
Despite the poor performance, Slot, in a chat with TNT Sport, believes the team is still in the tie due to wasteful PSG finishing and relies on the Anfield crowd for the second leg.

“If you reflect on the whole game I think we are lucky with only losing two nil. The first goal felt hard,” he said.
“I think it was very good for us we are still in the tie, we can bring them to Anfield and we know how good Anfield can be for us.
“Yes and no, yes because we want to create much more chances, no because there was not a lot to create for us.
“We tried many times to get them high, but they were able to play through us when we went man-to-man. I think that happened in the second half as well. There were a few times with players in promising positions.”
