Former NFL star Rickey Thenarse has undergone emergency surgery after being shot in the stomach in South Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.
According to TMZ, the former Seattle Seahawks player is expected to be okay after being rushed to a local hospital shortly after the harrowing incident last week.
The outlet reports, through sources, that Thenarse had been in a dispute involving his girlfriend and the father of her child when the incident occurred.
Law enforcement sources revealed that a man and a woman were seen fleeing the scene in a black SUV, prior to Thenarse being taken to hospital.
Currently, no arrests have been made and detectives are still investigating.
