World record fee needed for PSG star

Arsenal have been told they will have to pay a world record fee to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Georgian winger has emerged as a strong target for the Gunners after an impressive stint in Paris but PSG have no desire to let one of their star players leave and would demand a huge fee to even consider the deal.

According to CaughtOffside, PSG have told Arsenal and two other Premier League clubs that Kvaratskhelia is not for sale for any price

However, one source is quoted as saying that a fee of €180 million could tempt PSG into a sale but also insisted that Arsenal were unlikely to pay such a price anyway.

Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri heading for Arsenal exit

Arsenal will ‘listen to offers’ for young duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer, with both players struggling to break into Mikel Arteta’s first team.

Lewis-Skelly has made just one Premier League start all season while Nwaneri was sent on loan to Marseille in January after limited game time in the first half of the campaign.

According to the BBC, Arsenal could consider the duo’s departure due to their status as pure profit on the books, with more than €100m sought for the pair.

The report also claims that initial discussions to renew Arteta’s contract, which expires next summer, have begun and are ‘heading in a positive direction’.

Arsenal given chance of triple raid on Newcastle

Arsenal could be handed a golden opportunity to complete a stunning raid on a Premier League rival for three of their best players this summer.

The Gunners have already started work on their plans for the summer transfer window and their targets are believed to include Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento and Sandro Tonali, all of whom could be sold by Newcastle this summer if Eddie Howe’s side fail to qualify for the Champions League, according to the BBC.

Of all three players, FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal hold the strongest interest in Gordon and a bid is expected to be made for the England international, with a new left-winger described as a ‘priority position’ to strengthen this summer for Arteta.

FootballTransfers has also been told that Arsenal are hoping to beat Manchester City to the signing of Livramento as a potential replacement for Benjamin White, while Tonali has been offered to Gunners as he bids to leave Newcastle this summer.

Martinelli reluctant to leave Arsenal this summer

Mikel Arteta has a fight on his hands to sell Gabriel Martinelli this summer, with the Arsenal star insistent that he wants to see out his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have taken a stance that they want a change on the left wing. FootballTransfers has previously detailed the club’s desire to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle in the forthcoming transfer window, while AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is one of a number of players linked with a switch to North London.

Martinelli, meanwhile, is expected to make way – but he is not planning on going quietly despite entering the final 12 months of his contract, although Arsenal have an option to extend it for a further year.

The 24-year-old Brazil international is not ready to make a summer transfer, according to Football Insider, which claims that he is ready to fight for his place at the club and is “pushing” to stay.

Arsenal find Gabriel successor

Arsenal have earmarked Como centre-back Jacobo Ramon as a long-term Gabriel Magalhaes replacement, but Real Madrid could stand in the way of a deal.

The Spain youth international is playing his first season of top-flight football, yet he has already become one of the most sought-after commodities in European football. Ramon came through the Real Madrid academy and joined Como for just €2.5 million last summer.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal have now entered the race to sign the young centre-back. It is claimed that the Gunners have identified Ramon as a long-term replacement for Gabriel Magalhaes.

The report notes that Gabriel is “starting to show some signs of decline after injury problems both this season and last term, prompting Arsenal to sound out up-and-coming defenders who could seamlessly replace the Brazil international down the line.
