Man City are nine points behind Arsenal in the Premier League and Antoine Semenyo has now given his verdict on the title race
Antoine Semenyo has called on the Manchester City squad to “stay calm” ahead of the Premier League title race run-in.
Arsenal are currently nine points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side, although City have one game in hand on their title rivals. The two sides will also face off at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, April 19 so it promises to be an entertaining end to the season.
City have not played in the league since the 1-1 draw at West Ham on March 14, but attention now shifts to Sunday’s trip to Chelsea. Morale is high in the City camp after a convincing victory over the Gunners in the Carabao Cup final and last week’s FA Cup thrashing of Liverpool.

City forward Semenyo said: “We’ve got a good team, we know that. We just have to stay calm and just make sure that once the games come, we’re ready to go.
“So just a matter of being calm and then ready to go. Just hit the ground running.” Defenders John Stones and Ruben Dias are both doubtful for the visit to Stamford Bridge but neither are expected to be sidelined long-term.
Arsenal, meanwhile, face Bournemouth at Emirates Stadium on Saturday and could go 12 points ahead with a win over the Cherries. The Gunners go into the clash on the back of a 1-0 victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.

Lacking to be a bit crispier, the movement a bit sharper, the final ball. But we took the game where we wanted.
“But after saying that, we knew as well that it’s a team extremely dangerous when they have space to run and they have two situations where David [Raya] had to intervene in a brilliant way. And then, again, the story of the season, the finish is coming when the most important part of the game is about to happen and then make the difference for us to go and win it.”
