Sydney Roosters star Angus Crichton has revealed he’s become a dad for the first time after his wife Chloe gave birth on one of the holiest days of the year.
Sullivan Hugh Crichton entered the world at 5.05am on Easter Sunday, with the couple making the news public on Wednesday night.
‘You are so perfect and we couldn’t love you more if we tried,’ Crichton wrote in an Instagram post, which also featured several short videos of the new arrival.
‘Bub is healthy and mum is a soldier. We are blessed beyond measure to be your parents – thank you, son, for making us a family.’
The announcement has been greeted with joy by Crichton’s fellow footy stars.
‘Bless, congrats fam,’ Broncos fullback Reece Walsh wrote.

The Roosters player’s huge family news comes less than a year after he and Chloe tied the knot in front of the idyllic scenery of the Brokenback range.
Angus married Chloe in front of a star-studded guest list at Krinklewood Estate in the Hunter Valley wine region of NSW.
The NSW Blues and Australian representative met his wife back in 2022 while on tour with the Kangaroos.
Crichton has carved out an impressive career following his first-grade debut in 2016 with South Sydney.
But he credits his wife – whom he met during one of the worst periods of his life, when he was enduring well-publicised mental health issues – for being a rock for him as his career has gone from strength to strength.

Crichton, 30, recently reached the milestone of playing 200 NRL games.
He has played 17 Origin matches for NSW and 11 Tests for Australia.
The popular back-rower is also a premiership winner with the Roosters, having been part of the side that won the 2019 grand final.
Crichton’s child weighed in at 3.819kg and the birth was perfectly timed to coincide with the Roosters’ bye last week.
