Nigeria’s under-20 female national team, Falconets’ coach, Moses Aduku has spent time taking his players through motivational lectures, as he tries to sensitise them ahead of their first leg fixture at home against Malawi, Sports247 reports.

The Falconets will host the East Africans on May 2nd in the first leg of the last round of Africa’s qualifiers for this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup and Aduku acknowledged they would need a decent result ahead of the reverse fixture.
Four teams are billed to qualify from Africa for the Female Youth Mundial that is billed to take place in Poland from 5th to 26th September, and Aduku believes his team is good enough to be a member of the continent’s quartet.
He, however, admitted they have to get a huge victory at home from the first leg, in order to stand a better chance of scaling all odds during the reverse fixture a week later in Malawi, hence his lectures since they returned to camp on Monday.
While training sessions commenced tentatively on Tuesday, Aduku opted to open his camp with a sermon of sort, as the former youth international reminded the lasses about the need for dedication to the national team and focus on their duties.
A statement by the communications department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed in part, “The team has since begun intensive training aimed at building fitness, cohesion, and tactical discipline ahead of the crucial encounter.
“During the opening session, the team’s Head Coach, Moses Aduku, addressed the players, urging them to remain focused, committed, and fully prepared for the task ahead. He emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork, and determination.
“As the team prepares to face a determined Malawian side, the players expressed strong optimism and readiness.
Preparations continue in camp, with the technical crew working to ensure the team attains peak condition for the qualifiers.
“It can be recalled that Malawi progressed to the final qualifying round after edging past Guinea Bissau.
The Falconets are to face the Malawian side in the first leg in Nigeria on Saturday, 2nd May, with the return leg in Malawi a week later.”
