Arsenal are set to be busy during the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta’s side aim to end the campaign with silverware

Real Madrid ‘open’ to transfer
Real Madrid are reportedly open to selling Eduardo Camavinga should the club receive a sizeable offer this summer. The France international joined Los Blancos from Rennes in 2021 and has featured more than 200 times for the Spanish club.
Sky Sport CH reports that Real Madrid have placed a £70million valuation on Camavinga. Predominantly a central midfielder, he has operated in various positions for the side but has managed only 13 league starts this term.
Consequently, it is claimed that the player’s representatives have contacted Arsenal and Liverpool about a potential switch to England, while Saudi Arabian clubs are also keeping tabs on Camavinga’s situation. The Gunners and Liverpool are said to be ‘best positioned’ to complete a deal for the France international.
However, in a setback for Arsenal, Sky Sport CH states that Camavinga has no desire to leave the Spanish giants. The player’s stance appears at odds with Real Madrid’s reported intentions to promote Thiago Pitarch and possibly recruit another midfielder.
David Raya speaks out
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has offered his perspective on being named among the substitutes for both of the side’s recent domestic cup defeats. Arteta opted to play second-choice Arrizabalaga in the Carabao Cup final, where his display proved unconvincing, and persisted with him for the club’s surprising FA Cup quarter-final exit to Southampton.
Addressing the manager’s choice to leave him on the bench, Raya said: “It’s part of football. Sometimes you get picked, sometimes you don’t.
“You have to be there for your teammates and for Kepa in this example. The boss decides who plays and who doesn’t and we are used to those types of decisions.”
He added: “After the Man City game, we went away, he stayed here. After Southampton there is not much you can say.
“The team understands the standards that we set, so there are no conversations. You are just trying to be a good teammate like we are.”
