Liverpool are 16/5 underdogs to upset Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, as pressure continues to mount on Arne Slot

Liverpool’s disappointing season continued over the weekend as the Reds were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester City in an FA Cup quarter-final at the Etihad.

The defeat has only intensified the pressure on manager Arne Slot, who has struggled this campaign, with Liverpool sitting 21 points behind the league leaders and having already exited the Carabao Cup and FA Cup without silverware.

They still remain in the title race in one competition, however, having reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

A deep run in Europe – and potentially winning the tournament – could bolster Slot’s chances of keeping his job for 2026-27.

Liverpool are 16/5 underdogs to upset Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight

Easier said than done, though, as the Reds face reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in the last eight, with the first leg set for Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.

Liverpool enter the fixture as underdogs, with Sky Bet pricing them at 16/5 to cause an upset.

Conversely, PSG are odds-on favourites at 7/10 to take an aggregate lead into the second leg, while a draw is priced at 16/5.

These two sides last met in the Champions League round of 16 last season, with PSG winning 4-1 on penalties after the tie ended 1-1 on aggregate over two legs.

Elsewhere, in a separate market, Sky Bet are offering four Price Boosts for this highly anticipated contest.

They include Florian Wirtz to have 2+ shots on target, each team to have 2+ shots on target in each half, Mohamed Salah to have 2+ shots on target, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score 2+ goals.

The odds for those four bets have been enhanced to 1/1, 11/4, 4/1 and 10/1 respectively according to Sky Bet.

Regarding the above bets, Wirtz had seven shots across two legs in Liverpool’s round of 16 tie against Galatasaray, while Salah had six shots on target in the second leg of the same tie.

Additionally, Kvaratskhelia scored three goals across two legs in PSG’s last 16 tie against Chelsea.
