Lad One FC of Ikola, in Ipaja area of Lagos State, have set for themselves a target of emerging champions in the ongoing Fearless Super League, Sports247 reports.
The competition has been rated as a very glamorous private-run football league in Lagos State, and the general manager of Lad One FC, Mr Olufemi Amusan stressed that the club’s players are determined to win it.
While also commending coaches and officials of the highly-ambitious club that was founded in 2004 for their efforts in uplifting the team, Amusan predicted that they will surely add Fearless League 2026 to their fertile list of honours.
He praised the team’s very capable central defender and captain, Ero Joseph for leading their charge; alongside other key players like top striker Suleiman Olasunkanmi, energetic attacker Idris Salami and strong centre back Deji Mangala.
The club’s GM stated further in a chat with Sports247, “We’ve won a number of competitions in the past, and we seriously want to add Fearless Super League 2026 to our list of honours.
“Among the competitions we have won in the past are Lagos State League, which we lifted twice, as well as Academicals Cup and Agbado Challenge Cup.
“Apart from winning Fearless League, our next biggest target for this year is to help many of our players fulfil their dreams of signing for bigger clubs and progressing further in football.”
Amusan concluded by looking at the general picture of youth football in Nigeria, which he believes needs more support from government, corporate bodies and philanthropists for it to become effective in the production of future stars for the country.
“Our main target is to ensure that we continue fulfilling our purpose of creating this team; which happens to be helping young talented players achieve their dreams of becoming top footballers and be effective bread winners of their families.
“This is something that we cannot do all alone. So, I personally appeal to sports officials and people in government to please create a better enabling environment for youth football to thrive in Nigeria.
“I also use this opportunity to politely call on corporate bodies and wealthy individuals to kindly invest more in grassroots football and youth sports in general all across the country,” Amusan submitted.
